God has moved us out of the known and into shopping for my pack horse. A well loved horse that my daughter out grew was for sale again and we were going to invest the $s as we knew what he was made of and it was all good stuff. I think our appointment to look at him spurred those who had already been looking at him to go ahead and buy him. Plan B. north about an hour there is a wonderful man of the "Buck" type that is often given special needs ponies and he helps them through their problems and
those who can, find jobs. Tomorrow we will go see if the right one might be at Roberts, I can't think of anyone else I would rather support.
Things appear to be creeping right along. Christmas brought me a Thermo-Rest-Mat and a wonderful set of Ironcloth Saddle Panniers with an H pack. I had used a Decker before, but liked the idea of being more independent and am looking forward to using saddle panniers on this trip.
Rocky the one other person left going with me has had gallbladder surgery and is home recuperating. Everything I have heard has been good, I have to assume if it were to interfere with his plans for this trip he would tell me.
